PROGRAM SUMMARY FOR Nursing - Associate of Applied Science STUDENTS:
As a nursing student enrolled in our Associate’s Degree program, your training will include learning how to use clinical reasoning and knowledge based on the nursing program of study, how to create evidence-based practice outcomes, how to demonstrate skills in using patient care technologies and information systems that support safe nursing practices, and how to adhere to standards of practice within legal, ethical, and regulatory frameworks of the professional nurse.
The Nursing - Associate of Applied Science Program is a 45-week program. Upon successfully completing the program, the graduate will be able to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). After successful completion of this exam the graduate will become a Registered Nurse.
